Our Story & Mission

All children deserve to be understood

Two sisters walking together across wide, rolling sand dunes, one waving an arm in the air.

KLIMB is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children with dyslexia and their families through early assessment, targeted intervention, and emotional support. Founded on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their potential, KLIMB was created in response to the lack of accessible resources for families navigating a dyslexia diagnosis.

The organization was established out of firsthand experience with the educational system’s “wait to fail” model, which too often delays support for struggling readers. In response, KLIMB developed a mentor-based reading program designed to provide timely and research-backed remediation. This approach addresses not only literacy challenges but also the emotional toll that dyslexia can have on a child’s confidence and self-esteem.

KLIMB’s services include student assessments, family consultations, and one-on-one reading intervention. The team continually draws on the latest findings in the fields of learning differences, co-occurring conditions like ADHD and anxiety, and effective educational strategies to ensure their work remains both compassionate and evidence-based.
